My name is Victoria, and thank you for visiting my website.
Founded in 2000, Milkfed Press is a culmination of my many passions: typography, bookbinding, craftsmanship, quality paper, and of course, letterpress printing.
I came to this place the old-fashioned way—through hands-on experience, and traditional apprenticeship. I learned first-hand from Master Printers and Master Bookbinders, all pioneers in their respective craft. Through these experiences, I learned to create handbound books, to hand-set (letter by letter, space by space) real type, and to operate and care for my very alluring antique printing presses. Once I had a firm grasp on the production-end of creating, my design skills blossomed.
With this history (and the help of a computer), and a strong dedication to customer service, I strive to work closely with my clients to help them create meaningful, truly artisan pieces for whatever their occasion.
